Bristol serviced apartment firm set to transform apartments into remote working space

The property developers based on Park Street saw an increase in demand for guests using their apartments for remote working and ‘work retreats’ since the easing of lockdown.

Urban Creation, a property developers based in Central Bristol, has new plans to transform some of their serviced and student apartments into remote working spaces after seeing an increase in demand for ‘work retreats’ since the pandemic began.

As more people are now working from home than ever before, an increase in demand for a change of scenery and a break away from homes has begun to emerge.

Employers are also thanking their employers for their hard work over the last few months by offering ‘work retreats’; where employees can choose to visit a new city where they can work remotely during the day and then explore the city during their free time.

All of Urban Creation’s apartments are fully equipped with kitchens, en suite showers and WCs, double beds, WIFI and desk space, alongside TV and sofas; therefore guests can both easily work and reside in the apartments during their stay.

The increase in remote working has been rising steadily over the last few years, with the pandemic rapidly pushing more businesses into this way of working. Jonathan Brecknell, Director of Urban Creation said:

“We realise that this year has been tremendously tough for all businesses. We were hit severely in March when all of our leisure guests cancelled their bookings and the prospect of any future bookings was unknown.”

“We get a lot of bookings for our apartments for those visiting the city on business, however the pandemic has brought a whole new type of booking to us. If we can help people take a break from their homes and offer out our apartments, then we are always glad to help”.

It’s serviced apartments are based in Clifton, Bristol. Beech House serviced apartments on St Paul’s Road were launched two years ago and are set in a stunning renovated Victorian Villa with period features throughout. These apartments have retained their history and feature vintage and antique furniture. The 13 apartments at Alison Court provide modern city living within these stylish studio apartments.

Urban Creation’s 6 student properties cover the Clifton and Park Street area Bristol offering private, stylish, high- quality student accommodation in the heart of the city. One of their most famous developments saw pre fabricated modular pods craned into a dilapidated nightclub on Park Street, thought to be a UK first in modular construction.
